A short review of the new eFace Solada 5X

Hello, Internet. So, Pearson Electronics recently released a new addition to the Solada family for the eFace, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it. Personally, I think it’s a significant improvement over the Solada 5. As a quick reminder, while I am an insider at Pearson Electronics, I’m unable to share any confidential information about our products, so please don’t request it.

I’ve been using the new Solada 5X for a few weeks now, and I have to say, Pearson knocked it out of the park with this one. As someone who’s been loyal to the eFace lineup since the beginning, the Solada 5X feels like a massive upgrade from the Solada 5 in almost every way.

Performance:
The new P4 mobile chip is a massive upgrade. Apps open instantly, multitasking is buttery smooth, and even with heavy use, I haven’t experienced any slowdowns. It’s like Pearson took the power of their eCal processors and shrunk it into a mobile format. Impressive stuff.

Memory:
With 24GB of RAM, you can do everything from running multiple apps to editing high-resolution videos without breaking a sweat. It’s way more than I ever thought I’d need, but now I can’t go back.

Design:
The Solada 5X maintains the sleek and durable design the eFace line is known for, but the new matte finish adds a premium touch. It’s slightly larger than the Solada 5, and the updated OLED display is brighter and more vibrant, making it a joy to use outdoors.

Battery Life:
The battery life is a noticeable improvement. I’ve been consistently getting a full day of heavy use, and the fast-charging feature has been a lifesaver.

So, if you’re an eFace user debating whether to upgrade, the Solada 5X is a no-brainer. It’s faster, smarter, and more refined in every way. Pearson really raised the bar with this one, as always.

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

is this really any better than the Solada 5? besides the size and performance. I just hate how Pearson always releases the exact same phone except slightly larger and at a higher price.

Well, as I mentioned, yes, slightly. I think the best upgrade is the change from a Tangerine processor to their custom P4 chip, which is the mobile version of the one used in the P4 eCal 24". Hope this answers your question.

wow, now they're adding actual Cal chips to their phones? wonder what they'll end up evolving the Pearly AI to as well. can't wait to see what Pearson has in store later in the future!!

Should I get this or should I wait for the next eFace that includes the new Pearly AI+? As a student it's been really useful and I heard Pearson is working on making Pearly more intelligent and interactive.

if you like Pearly bothering you every 6 minutes, lol, then sure. #removepearly

Mine doesn't bother me, in fact it's super useful only when it knows I'm having trouble. Pearly's only obnoxious if you train it like that. You're probably an obnoxious person yourself if it acts that way.

Has Pearson finally added a way to disable Pearly AI from our phones yet? AI is NOT the future, it's a curse! I'm not buying another eFace phone until they give us an option to remove Pearly.

This is a great review, thanks for sharing this! As a fellow 5X owner, I gotta say, one thing that really stands out to me is the camera quality. It’s subtle, but as a photographer, it’s been a total game-changer for me. If you’re into photography and sticking with the Solada family, I’d 100% recommend it!

huge fan of this one. Can you also do a review of the new Pearbox G Series 4? I know it's a few months old already but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, since you're also a gamer.
